About the Role
This position supports Long Service Leave audits and ensures data and payroll compliance within the People Services Team, reporting to the Team Leader, People Services.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice on employee matters in line with University policies and the Enterprise Agreement, including contracts, variations, leave, and employment conditions.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the University to deliver effective solutions and support People & Culture processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance, including data entry and updates in the Oracle PeopleSoft system.
- Develop expertise in Oracle PeopleSoft (HCM) to support day-to-day operations and system-related queries.
- Act as a key point of contact between People & Culture and Payroll to ensure smooth coordination and accurate data flow.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Contribute to team activities and identify opportunities to improve People & Culture processes.
- Focus on leave audits and data validation.
Requirements
- Completion of a degree in Human Resources or related tertiary qualification with an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience working in a payroll environment coupled with demonstrated proficiency in Excel will be highly desirable.
- Demonstrated time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure, organise workload and manage competing priorities/deadlines; whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy is essential.
- Knowledge on HR management systems, experience using PeopleSoft would be an advantage.
- High attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion is important.
