About the Role

The Hardware Engineering role focuses on the entire product lifecycle from design to production, ensuring quality standards and customer specifications are met. This position involves technical design discussions, component selection, design execution, and project management, addressing quality issues and supporting continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-speed hardware design from specification discussion to design execution for custom hardware.
• Select components in collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to evaluate supplier performance, conduct audits, and improve incoming material quality.
• Develop and implement inspection procedures for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Maintain comprehensive quality records and generate quality performance reports.
• Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to procedures and identify optimization opportunities.
• Participate in internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 compliance.
• Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and implement solutions.
• Engage in continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 8D problem-solving, and statistical process control (SPC).

• Typically 8+ years of work experience with at least 3 years in High-speed Hardware Design (PCBA).
• Good understanding of Highspeed (Multigiga bit or RF) design requirements.
• Experience in Altium design tools (Schematics and PCB design tools).
• Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, PCB assembly drawings, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with relevant quality management system standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Knowledge of industry-specific standards (e.g. AS9100) is a significant advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
