About the Role

The Head Coach facilitates a seamless fitness experience for clients and coaches, focusing on member retention, client acquisition, and supporting the Fitness Coach Team. This role balances personal training sessions with the onboarding, training, and leadership of the coaching staff.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on client goals
  • Provide general nutrition guidelines and teach a fitness lifestyle
  • Mentor coach performance through behavior observation and development
  • Support the onboarding and training of new coaches
  • Assist the General Manager with interviewing and hiring
  • Provide input on fitness goal setting, scheduling, and coach performance
  • Generate business through new client acquisition and retention
  • Hold clients accountable through goal setting and progress tracking
  • Demonstrate safe and proper exercise techniques
  • Maintain punctuality and enthusiasm for all training appointments
  • Meet productivity expectations for client and group sessions
  • Maintain accurate progress records for personal training clients
  • Assist with fitness seminars and training days
  • Maintain a clean, friendly, and well-organized club environment

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Personal Trainer or Fitness Coach
  • Experience in holistic fitness program design and consultation
  • Ability to work 30+ hours weekly, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to adjust and operate fitness equipment
  • Ability to perform a variety of exercise routines
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current in-person CPR and AED certifications
  • Degree in a related field or current certification from a nationally accredited industry association
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, jumping, and kicking
  • Ability to engage in prolonged standing and walking
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% by car for trainings or meetings
