About the Role
We are looking for a product leader to own the entire developer experience for deploying and iterating on AI models, making it effortless for developers to get models into production on Baseten.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end journey from first sign-up to a running, maintained production deployment.
- Own the CLI and SDKs as the primary way developers and their AI agents build on Baseten.
- Own the first-run experience, including onboarding, model discovery, and deployment.
- Own the deployment lifecycle and safe releases, including environment promotion, version history, and progressive delivery controls.
- Own multi-model composition (Chains) and evolving the DevEx for developers building multi-modal agents and applications.
- Act as the Voice of the Developer, translating customer feedback into product roadmap improvements.
Requirements
- Experience building dev tools as an engineer before becoming a PM.
- Shipped SDKs, CLIs, APIs, or platform surfaces.
- 5+ years building developer-facing or technical products as a PM or product-minded engineer.
- Demonstrated taste for developer experience across both local (CLI) and UI.
- Strong opinions on CLI, API-first, and agent-first design.
- Technical enough to earn engineers' trust and reason about underlying systems.
- Rigorous researcher who lets customer reality drive decisions.
- Relentless shipper.
- Experience with ML infrastructure, developer tools, or API products is a plus.
- Experience deploying and serving models yourself is a plus.
- Must not dislike getting technical.
- Must be willing to do whatever it takes to ship great products for customers, not just focus on strategy, UX, or documentation.
- Must be comfortable defining design systems and patterns from scratch.
- Must be obsessed with improving Product craft with AI.
