About the Role

Sierra is building a platform to help businesses create better customer experiences using AI. The role involves designing and delivering production-grade AI agents that are central to Sierra's growth and revenue. You will own the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC) from pilot to deployment and iteration, partnering with large enterprises and startups to solve pressing business challenges. Your work will directly influence the evolution of Sierra's core platform by surfacing unmet needs and prototyping new features.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver production-grade AI agents that are highly performant, reliable, and intuitive.
  • Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC), including building, tuning, and evolving AI agents in production.
  • Partner with large enterprises and cutting-edge startups to understand business challenges and build transformative AI agents.
  • Shape the future of AI agent development and Sierra's product by surfacing unmet needs and prototyping new tools and features.
  • Design and build AI agents for telecommunications and media companies to manage subscription churn.
  • Develop and refine AI agents for complex customer interactions, such as troubleshooting and product recommendations.
  • Create generalizable AI agent frameworks for industry-specific use cases.
  • Facilitate design partnerships for new product initiatives, including new agent architectures and self-service capabilities.
  • Experiment with and integrate the latest voice models at scale for enterprise customers.

Requirements

  • Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills, especially in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
  • A builder and tinkerer’s mindset with high agency.
  • Comfort working directly with customers to understand their needs and solve real-world problems.
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
