About the Role

NK Architects is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager to join their integrated team of design professionals. The selected candidate will manage and guide production efforts, working closely with firm principals on projects across NY, NJ, and PA. The role primarily focuses on healthcare facilities, requiring close client liaison and budget management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project life cycle.
  • Manage multiple small to medium project deadlines simultaneously.
  • Focus on healthcare facilities, including hospitals and outpatient facilities.
  • Coordinate all administrative and technical project efforts for efficient and cost-effective execution.
  • Communicate and coordinate with external consultants and engineers.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison to ensure project completion within schedule, budget, and scope.
  • Develop and manage internal and client budgets, project work plans, schedules, and communication.
  • Attend pre-proposal meetings and assess scope of work for proposals and contracts.
  • Evaluate project resource needs and provide input for successful execution and team time management.
  • Monitor project performance and collaborate with principals and the finance team.
  • Inspire the team and be results-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. No sponsorship provided.
  • Vaccination required for individuals conducting business with and site visits to healthcare providers.
  • Prior experience with healthcare projects, including hospitals and outpatient facilities, is preferred.
  • Must maintain professional license in the USA if licensed.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Skills

  • Passion for creating an impact and meeting business objectives.
  • Familiarity with healthcare AHJ's review processes.
  • Knowledge of Newforma & Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint is a plus.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative work ethic and ability to lead by example.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to clients and internal team members.

  • 8 or more years of experience

Education Level

  • College Degree Required
  • BArch, MArch or equivalent degree from an accredited S. Architecture School is a plus
