About the Role
The Machine Operator II is responsible for setting up and operating a production machine according to established procedures and guidelines, ensuring the final product meets customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Secures and maintains material and supplies required for operation.
- Completes work area setup.
- Operates and feeds the machine safely and efficiently.
- Monitors the machine to ensure quality.
- Stacks completed products according to procedures.
- May cover, label, and band components/finish product.
- Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
- Ensures work area is safe, clean, and organized.
- Ensures equipment is safe to operate.
- Completes preshift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
- Maintains production records as required.
- Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
- Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures.
- May perform specified preventive maintenance.
- Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Skills
- Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
Experience Level
- Minimum of 6 months of experience
Education Level
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
