About the Role
We are looking for a certified Millwright to ensure the operation of mechanical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting problems on conveyers and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Minimize downtime through preventive maintenance and effective troubleshooting.
- Prepare maintenance reports with recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
- Repair and replace pumps, valves, motors, and other components as needed.
- Perform quality checks on all maintenance work.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety regulations and using personal protective equipment.
- Maintain required documentation.
- Utilize documentation in CMMS.
- Install new machines and equipment.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results and other assigned duties.
- Inform production workers of routine mechanical preventive maintenance plans.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License - 433A.
- Must have Red Seal Journeyman certification.
- Must have Level 3, 4, and 5 Apprentice.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Exposure to mechanical devices, pneumatic controls, and welding/cutting.
- All position welding preferred (stainless steel pipe, guard repairs, etc.).
- Candidates must be 18 years or older.
- Must complete a criminal and background check.
