About the Role
The Event Sales Manager is responsible for client relations and planning successful events for Gramercy Tavern and Union Square Cafe. This role collaborates with restaurant operators and cross-team partners to optimize guest experience, drive revenue, and maintain service integrity. Success requires flexibility, a proactive mindset, operational acumen, and a keen understanding of maximizing experience and revenue potential.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate a culture of Enlightened Hospitality for all stakeholders that supports our business objectives and growth.
- Continuously look for ways to strengthen the event program, bringing curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to improving every day.
- Build and refine systems that allow a high volume of events to run smoothly, ensuring details are clear, accurate, and well managed.
- Own client relationships from first inquiry through event execution, responding promptly, preparing proposals and contracts, hosting site visits, and delivering a consistently high-quality experience.
- Thoughtfully manage the event calendar to balance revenue goals with seamless logistics and exceptional guest experiences.
- Serve as the voice of the client internally, ensuring alignment across teams so what is promised is exactly what is delivered - creating seamless, rave-worthy events.
- Lead event planning and execution, including BEOs, timelines, vendors, on-site coordination, and internal communication, while working toward consistently meeting or exceeding financial goals.

- Proven leadership experience in event sales or hospitality management.
