Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction in the Social Media and Web Marketing program curriculum.
  • Use diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, including lectures, group discussions, and hands-on activities.
  • Provide academic support to students, including tutoring, mentoring, and guidance.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress through assignments, exams, and participation.
  • Offer constructive feedback to help students improve their knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to institutional goals.
  • Establish and maintain connections with social service agencies to facilitate student placements or program improvement.
  • Stay updated on developments in the field of social services to bring current knowledge into the classroom.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
  • Assist in student recruitment and retention efforts as needed.
  • Support the coordination of field practicums or internships for students.
  • Address student concerns and mediate conflicts when necessary.

Requirements

  • Degree, diploma or certification from a recognized university
  • Three or more years’ experience in a related field
  • A minimum of 1-year instructional experience or hold a certificate in adult learning

Skills

  • Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
  • Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal education approaches
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • High standards of behavior, a professional attitude and commitment to quality service
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other instructors and staff
  • Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of students, to provide feedback and treat students equitably
  • Learn and use technology to enhance the student learning experience
