About the Role

The Product Development Department is seeking an individual to develop elevated studio-to-street styles and build Alo's speed-to-market pipeline. The role requires apparel education, garment construction knowledge, and calendar management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development process from concept through production, ensuring garments meet quality, fit, and construction standards.
  • Leverage global suppliers to optimize lead times, ensure cost efficiency, and uphold quality standards.
  • Collaborate with design, technical, and production teams to maintain product integrity from prototype to final product.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiating costs, MOQs, and timelines while maintaining strong communication.
  • Work independently and react quickly to changes.
  • Understand and manage calendar deadlines.
  • Manage style level vendor allocation and seasonal WIPs.
  • Maintain PLM system General Style page, BOM, and Cost Sheets.
  • Analyze costing data and reporting to ensure margin goals are met.
  • Work with on-site PLM Developers on system advancements.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with Design, Tech Design, Raw Materials, Production, and Color teams.
  • Attend fit sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the apparel industry.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Commitment and superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, build trust and relationships with vendor & company staff.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of testing protocol, product integrity requirements, product cycle timeline, and garment construction.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook).
  • Proficiency with PLM.
