About the Role
The Assistant Store Manager supports daily operations across one or more self-storage locations, ensuring operational excellence and high cleanliness standards while building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain customer relationships by identifying needs and providing solutions
- Maximize sales through unit rentals, insurance, and moving supplies
- Maintain facility cleanliness including office, interior, and exterior areas
- Perform daily site safety inspections and lock checks
- Resolve customer concerns regarding billing, security, and site usage
- Manage cash transactions, balance receipts, and process payments
- Follow up on delinquent payments and complete bank deposits
- Establish professional relationships with all company employees
Requirements
- 1+ year of customer-facing work experience
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle (except in NYC and Brooklyn)
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
