About the Role

As a Vehicle Delivery Driver, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional car-buying experience by delivering purchased vehicles to customers' homes. You will ensure a seamless process from loading and unloading vehicles to finalizing paperwork and handing over keys, representing CarMax with professionalism and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate a two-car hauler to deliver vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Load, transport, and unload vehicles at designated locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Facilitate home delivery transactions, including paperwork and customer handoff.
• Provide outstanding customer service, interacting with customers and team members professionally.
• Perform condition checks and verify vehicles meet CarMax cosmetic standards before delivery.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections to maintain safety and operational excellence.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with company requirements.

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Class B CDL preferred; additional state-specific endorsements may apply.
• Clean driving record with no more than 6 penalty points in the last three years.
• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• 1+ year of delivery driving experience or CarMax experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must possess or obtain a DOT Medical Card within 28 days of hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Adherence to CarMax policies and safety standards.
