About the Role

Omidyar Network Associates play a critical role in identifying and scoping new portfolio investments, supporting the grantmaking process, researching emerging issues, and collaborating with grantees and network partners. This role offers valuable experience and exposure across programmatic areas within a collaborative, high-trust team.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the discovery and due diligence process of prospective grantees.
  • Manage the end-to-end execution, monitoring, and support of the grant lifecycle.
  • Collate relevant materials for diligence and reporting, and track correspondence.
  • Partner with Portfolio Insights and Engagement staff to improve grantmaking processes and apply learnings.
  • Maintain internal project management infrastructure for robust knowledge management.
  • Support team leads with program management, including stakeholder management, learning discussions, meetings, and coordination.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for grantees, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Represent Omidyar Network at public events.
  • Engage diverse voices and coalitions to identify learnings for current partnerships.
  • Conduct research on emerging issues and potential areas of programmatic engagement.
  • Maintain awareness of issues related to emerging digital technology and identify trends.

Requirements

  • Passion for Omidyar Network’s vision.
  • 2-3 years of relevant full-time work experience.
  • Excellent research, analysis, problem solving, and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to track and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative, curious, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • High degree of comfort with change and ambiguity.
  • Comfort working autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Team-first mindset and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Current U.S. work authorization.
