About the Role

You’ll join the Marketing Strategy & Operations team and own the operational layer behind Whatnot’s paid creative engine, including workflows, reporting, tooling, automation, and vendor infrastructure. You will audit existing systems, develop a clear point of view on necessary changes, and improve the end-to-end system as paid marketing scales globally.

Responsibilities

  • Define creative performance frameworks and reporting, including metrics that guide creative investment.
  • Audit existing creative operations infrastructure, including tagging, naming, asset libraries, brief templates, and vendor relationships.
  • Build and improve systems for tracking assets from brief to live placement, including localization and brand-fit auditing.
  • Own the creative operations stack, including Airtable, Sigma, and Snowflake platforms, tagging automation, reporting pipelines, and dashboards.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities in partnership with Data and Engineering teams.
  • Drive alignment and manage tradeoffs between Performance Marketing, Influencer, and in-house Creative teams.
  • Lead cross-functional operational initiatives end-to-end, from scoping to execution and reporting.
  • Act as the DRI for structural problems such as localization, brand-fit auditing, and attribution across creative variants.
  • Solve net-new structural problems as paid marketing scales globally.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, creative operations, or strategy and operations at a high-growth consumer company.
  • Demonstrated track record of building or rebuilding a scalable system (e.g., tagging taxonomy, asset workflow, creative testing framework, automation pipeline, reporting system).
  • Strong analytical judgment, with comfort working directly with performance data in SQL, BI tools, spreadsheets, ad platforms, or creative analytics tools.
  • Understanding of paid marketing metrics such as CAC, ROAS, LTV, PBP, incrementality, and creative fatigue.
  • Ability to design measurement frameworks where none exist.
  • Strong project management instincts, with experience running complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Clear written communication skills, capable of creating concise recommendations.
  • Experience working within a team experiencing rapid growth in spend, creative volume, or market complexity.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to translate broad problems into practical systems.
  • Bias toward speed and iteration, knowing when a scrappy system is sufficient.
  • Experience questioning existing approaches and building replacements.
  • Experience owning a budget or vendor relationship end-to-end.
  • Experience using Whatnot as a buyer or seller.
