About the Role
The Non-CDL Driver at SRS Building Products is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of building materials to contractors and job sites. This role is crucial for supporting branch operations, ensuring order accuracy, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining high safety standards while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of building materials to job sites, adhering to company safety protocols and route plans.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting maintenance needs.
- Accurately verify and manage inventory, including loading and unloading materials.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts safely and effectively for loading and unloading.
- Engage professionally with customers on-site to deliver exemplary service.
- Maintain regular communication with managers and team members to ensure seamless delivery operations.
- Adhere to all corporate and regulatory safety standards.
- Document delivery processes meticulously, including capturing photographic evidence.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify required).
- Must pass a drug test, background check, and hold a current DOT medical card (for vehicles 10,001 lbs+).
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a clean driving record (no DUIs in 3 years, no suspensions in 5 years, max 2 violations/accidents in 18 months).
