About the Role
This role strengthens data practices and leads monitoring analysis to ensure data is used effectively for continuous improvement, planning, and future priorities. The Data and Insights Officer will collaborate with internal and external partners to identify and drive improvements, aligning data usage with best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead management, analysis, and reporting of monitoring data, ensuring timely, robust, and relevant analysis for the organization and partners.
- Engage data visualization to meet the needs of different audiences.
- Plan and deliver data quality assurance processes.
- Conduct regular KPI analysis for England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Sport England, and internal reporting.
- Perform analysis to support fundraising applications and reports.
- Identify and implement improvements, including effective use of DfE and other data, to ensure systems reflect current information.
- Collaborate with the Director of Strategy and Impact, Impact and Evaluation Manager, and Operations department to deliver detailed analysis for learning, planning, and strategic priorities.
- Work closely with the Digital Systems Manager to ensure effective internal use of digital tools for monitoring analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with the Operations department to ensure effective data collection and usage, and support delivery partners in understanding and using analysis.
- Stay informed about wider developments to improve the monitoring approach, particularly concerning DfE, DCMS, ECB, and Sport England data.
- Support the Impact & Evaluation team with ad hoc tasks.
Requirements
- Experience with data analysis and visualisation tools, including advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and Power BI for data cleaning, manipulation, and dashboard creation.
- Demonstrable experience working confidently with large, complex datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and perform meaningful analysis.
- Experience leveraging AI to support data collection and analysis.
- Ability to work confidently with colleagues to understand, agree, and deliver analytical priorities.
- Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to different audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Salary/Compensations
- £32,000 - £37,000 / year
