About the Role
This full-time, entry-level Pricing Analyst position offers valuable knowledge and experience in the beverage and distribution industry. You will manage pricing and costing systems, collaborate with analysts and the chain management team, and work with Excel, calculating margins, and pricing items.
Responsibilities
- Manage pricing systems
- Set up new items
- Communicate pricing and discounting changes to staff
- Communicate pricing with key accounts and chains
- Update transfer pricing
- Maintain discounting and analyze discount efficacy
- Research and correct invoicing issues
- Run reports and conduct analysis to ensure gross margin goals are met
- Manage costing systems
- Research supplier invoicing variances
- Track freight invoicing and ensure accurate factoring into product gross margin
- Assist Sales Management team in pricing communication to suppliers
- Assist with chain account administration
- Build custom price files for specific accounts and territories
- Run sales reports and complete special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; business, math, or economics major preferred
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
- Strong analytical abilities
- Excellent math skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Able to work collaboratively and independently
- Previous experience working in retail highly desired
- Enthusiastic, high energy, and self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed
