About the Role
The Trade Desk is seeking a hands-on Anaplan Model Builder to design, build, scale, and optimize Anaplan solutions. This role involves partnering with various teams to automate business processes, drive informed decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and support business growth through elegant Anaplan model development.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance Anaplan models supporting commissions, FP&A, accounting, and related business functions.
- Develop accurate and scalable calculations, business logic, and model structures.
- Optimize Anaplan components (modules, lists, line items, dashboards, data actions) for performance and maintainability.
- Support imports, exports, and integrations, and troubleshoot data and process issues.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business goals into technical solutions and deliver measurable value.
- Create clear documentation for models, business rules, and operating processes.
- Identify opportunities for workflow automation, user experience simplification, and model efficiency improvements.
- Contribute to testing, root cause analysis, and user enablement in an Agile environment.
- Support audit and control requirements through documentation, data traceability, and governed practices.
Requirements
- 1+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining Anaplan models.
- Anaplan Model Builder certification required.
- Strong understanding of Anaplan platform capabilities, modeling best practices, and multi-dimensional design concepts.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into Anaplan models (lists, modules, line items, actions, calculations).
- Experience writing complex formulas and troubleshooting modeling or data issues in Anaplan, Excel, or related tools.
- Ability to work independently to design and develop modeling solutions with limited supervision.
- Strong analytical skills to reconcile data discrepancies, break down complex problems, and identify business needs.
- BS in Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and cross-team collaboration.
- Experience supporting commissions, financial planning, forecasting, accounting, or other finance-related business processes is desired.
- Familiarity with financial systems, financial modeling, and core accounting or FP&A concepts is desired.
- Experience working in a SCRUM or Agile environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive work forward in a fast-paced environment.

- $70,500—$129,300 USD
