About the Role

Juno Veterinary is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to own and scale the recruitment function for clinical teams across Canada. This strategic role involves building a proactive talent strategy, designing an exceptional candidate experience, and leveraging technology to attract top veterinary professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full recruitment function for Juno’s clinical teams across existing and new clinic markets
  • Build and lead a proactive talent strategy that plans 6–12 months ahead, aligned with Juno’s clinic growth roadmap and new market expansion
  • Spend time in clinics and actively build relationships that support our DVM pipeline
  • Design and deliver an unreasonably good candidate experience from first outreach through to offer acceptance and onboarding handoff
  • Serve as a true thought leader on talent, bringing innovative ideas on sourcing, employer branding, and candidate engagement
  • Own and optimise Juno’s ATS (Greenhouse), ensuring pipeline hygiene, reporting, and data integrity
  • Leverage AI tools, including Claude, to build more efficient sourcing funnels, improve outreach, and reduce time-to-hire
  • Partner closely with the Head of People, clinic operations leads, and medical leadership to align hiring plans with business needs
  • Lead the offer process for all DVM and senior clinical roles
  • Build and manage relationships with external partners including veterinary schools and professional associations
  • Draft and maintain employment agreements, offer letters, and related documentation
  • Contribute to Juno’s recruitment newsletter, LinkedIn and other employer brand touchpoints
  • Track and report on key recruitment metrics and use this data to continuously improve

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive recruitment experience, with a strong preference for veterinary medicine, healthcare, or a specialised frontline service industry
  • Demonstrated experience leading a recruitment function or team
  • Multi-unit or multi-location recruitment experience
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Deep proficiency with ATS platforms, ideally Greenhouse
  • Experience with or curiosity about AI tools as recruitment enablers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A candidate-first mindset
  • Ability to operate on Eastern Standard Time and connect with candidates and stakeholders across Canadian time zones
  • Comfort working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment
