About the Role

Design, develop, and implement software to support the build, packaging, and release of Red Hat's AI products. Maintain product quality through continuous process and coding standards improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop architectural and design principles focusing on performance, resilience, scalability, security, technology constraints, and comprehensibility.
  • Present architectural concepts and decisions to teammates and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior team members and help expand their skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI integration opportunities within the software development lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in engineering practices.
  • Share use cases of successful experiments with stakeholders for broader use.
  • Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into existing workflows and tooling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
  • One (1) year of experience in the job offered or related role.
  • One (1) year of experience with Python programming.
  • One (1) year of experience with Python packaging.
  • One (1) year of experience with Bash scripting.
  • One (1) year of experience with containerization.
  • One (1) year of experience with GitLab or other CI/CD pipelines.
  • One (1) year of experience with Agile tools including JIRA.
