About the Role

The Banking Services Specialist provides a full range of banking services to customers, focusing on retail banking products. This role supports the Branch Manager in account administration, operations, sales, and service, actively cross-selling business products and developing customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and sales.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming phone calls, answer inquiries, and transfer calls.
• Greet customers, provide information, answer questions, and direct them to appropriate personnel.
• Open and close new accounts, process deposit and withdrawal slips, and input/verify account information.
• Prepare wire transfer applications, stop payments, fund transfers, and address changes upon customer request.
• Order checks, prepare daily wire transfer reports, and respond to subpoenas and levies.
• Process checks, cash deposits, and withdrawals, verifying customer signatures.
• Perform end-of-day proofing and balance teller cash boxes.
• Process remote capture on POD items, prepare currency shipments, and file currency transaction reports.

Requirements

• Manage difficult customer situations and respond promptly to requests.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Possess basic math and accounting skills.
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines.
• Apply common sense understanding to problem-solving.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, memos, and procedures in English.
