About the Role

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is seeking a Technical Specialist to join their growing Integration team. This role involves developing and promoting technical solutions to support business requirements, uplifting legacy systems, and implementing new integration technologies. Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to stakeholders and project teams.
• Align effort to broader strategy and capability roadmaps ensuring that the AFP’s integration environment is fit-for-purpose and complements other systems and capabilities.
• Oversee integration patterns including APIs, middleware, and event-driven workflows.
• Lead technical members through demonstrations, mentoring and skills sessions where required.

Requirements

• Must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
• Ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance.
• Contemporary knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a like or related field.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or extensive experience and knowledge in area of expertise.
• Ability to ask the right questions and find the right solutions, to act with integrity and place the customer at the centre of everything you do.
• Passion for service excellence.
• Comfortable working independently and referring customers to other specialist team members.
• National travel may be required.

Salary/Compensations

• $132,668.00 - $151,205.00
