About the Role

As an Account Manager at LEGO Japan, you will lead business operations and relationships with key retailers to drive commercial momentum and strategic growth. You will collaborate across functions to execute sales plans, manage performance, and bring the LEGO brand to life in retail environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key strategic customer accounts to implement LEGO Group and LEGO Japan strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans and joint business sales plans with customers.
  • Manage product listing, in-stock, planograms, space management, and store execution.
  • Create and implement Joint Business Plans (JBP) to support sustainable growth.
  • Drive key account performance to meet commercial results and sales targets.
  • Develop short-term sales forecasts and collaborate with the Demand Planning team.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly business performance reviews to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with finance partners to manage revenue from trade investments.
  • Seek new opportunities to increase business potential and brand presence in retail.
  • Work with local marketing, operations, and third-party field merchandising teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or customer management within retail or wholesale.
  • Experience in FMCG, branded consumer products, or headquarter roles within modern retail chains.
  • Strong strategic orientation with the ability to manage complex, comprehensive business perspectives.
  • Experience in account management based on annual planning cycles and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written Japanese and English.
  • Strong communication and networking skills.
  • Agile mindset with a passion for learning and growth.
  • Candidates with high engagement with children must pass a Child Safeguarding Background Screening.
