About the Role
Provide specialist heritage advice, supporting compliant maintenance, conservation, and asset management outcomes across a diverse portfolio of heritage assets. Collaborate with various teams to embed heritage obligations into planning, maintenance, capital works, and daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist heritage advice across maintenance, conservation, asset planning, and projects.
- Ensure compliance with heritage legislation, Conservation Management Plans, and approval requirements.
- Support the management of heritage risks across live, public-facing precincts.
- Review project documentation and provide heritage input into scoping, risk assessments, and delivery.
- Coordinate heritage advice, approvals, consultants, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and support governance, reporting, and audit readiness.
Requirements
- Experience in heritage management, conservation planning, architecture, planning, or a related field.
- Knowledge of heritage asset maintenance, repair, and conservation, including Burra Charter principles.
- Experience with NSW heritage legislation, planning policy, and statutory approval processes.
- Experience working with State Heritage Register items or government-owned asset portfolios.
- Strong attention to detail, governance, and documentation skills.
- Clear communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
