About the Role

Provide scientific and educational medical support within therapeutic areas (TA) and related to Biogen products to cross-functional affiliates. Plan and execute Medical Strategy and Tactics, demonstrating strong leadership as needed. Support the TA Associate Director and conduct office-based medical activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute medical strategy and tactics based on global strategy, customer insights, and unmet medical needs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., MKT, R&D) and external stakeholders.
• Support the management and provision of medical information in the neurology therapeutic area.
• Prepare FAQs, call center support, medical materials, and promotional material reviews.
• Conduct medical training for commercial teams.
• Establish and maintain contact with Key Medical Experts (KME).
• Plan and execute advisory boards and medical seminars.
• Plan and execute scientific presentations and manuscripts related to neurology and Biogen products.
• Support investigator-initiated studies and post-marketing clinical trials.
• Support additional lifecycle opportunities based on patient needs and unmet medical needs within the development cycle on a rolling basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

• Ability to effectively perform duties with leadership in a matrix organization.
• Business-level English and Japanese proficiency (listening, speaking, reading, writing).
• Project management skills.
• Ability to take initiative and solve complex problems.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in KME networking within a therapeutic area is desirable.
