About the Role
This role focuses on managing post-auction deal activity, ensuring successful transactions for buyers and sellers when reserve prices are not met or further negotiation is possible. The primary goals are to maximize conversion, profitability, and customer satisfaction while maintaining speed and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include proactive opportunity identification, effective negotiation, building long-term customer relationships, providing valuation expertise, and contributing market insights to the auctions team.
Responsibilities
- Own post-auction negotiations, driving successful deals and maximizing conversion and profitability.
- Achieve monthly targets for deal volume, margin, and fee discipline.
- Progress opportunities quickly and proactively to ensure fast close times and minimize drop-off.
- Build trusted relationships with buyers, sellers, collectors, and dealers across multiple markets.
- Support international customers by delivering an excellent experience to English and French-speaking audiences.
- Apply market knowledge to support vehicle valuations, reserve pricing discussions, and negotiation strategy.
- Build and maintain a network of buyers and sellers to proactively connect customers with relevant vehicles.
- Maintain high attention to detail across deal terms, documentation, communications, and CRM updates.
- Collaborate with auctions, customer support, and commercial teams to improve conversion and customer experience.
- Share customer feedback, pricing trends, and competitive intelligence to improve auction performance and strategy.
Requirements
- Strong automotive knowledge, including classic and/or performance vehicles, market trends, and valuations.
- Excellent negotiation skills with proven ability to influence outcomes while balancing customer experience and commercial performance.
- Fluent English communication, both written and verbal.
- Professional fluency in French is essential.
- Experience building trust quickly with customers, clients, or stakeholders.
- Strong business judgment with experience balancing revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work with urgency, prioritize effectively, and maintain momentum across multiple deals.
- Consistently accurate and organised in fast-moving operational environments.
- Experience managing pipelines, customer communication, and reporting within CRM or sales platforms.
