About the Role

As the Head of Brazil, you will develop and scale Taptap Send’s growth amongst the diaspora in key sender-side markets (US, Canada, UK, UAE). You will manage customer acquisition and retention strategy, pricing, product quality, customer experience, and team development. This role involves P&L ownership, delivering growth and profitability targets for the Brazilian market, and establishing Taptap Send as the leading remittance product for Brazil. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and lead a team of growth managers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a vision, strategy, and execution plan for Brazil and all send and pay-in operations.
  • Lead the team to execute within collaboratively aligned timelines.
  • Manage customer acquisition and retention strategy, pricing, user research, product quality, customer experience, and team development.
  • Report progress, insights, and needs to the executive leadership team, leveraging operational prowess with a data-driven test-and-learn mindset.
  • Identify creative ways to unlock growth, improve profitability, and increase brand awareness.
  • Hire, inspire, develop, and retain top, diverse talent.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Customer Service, Finance, Tech, Legal, Financial Crime, Compliance, and People Ops.
  • Build trust-based relationships with diaspora communities and commercial partners in Brazil to increase brand awareness and improve growth and unit economics.
  • Monitor, understand, and interpret growth, operational, and financial metrics to enhance execution.
  • Recommend product experience improvements based on market, competitor, and customer insights and feedback.

Requirements

  • Preference for candidates based in São Paulo (Brazil), New York, or Mexico.
  • Ability to travel internationally periodically and ad-hoc.
  • Exceptional knowledge and networks within the Brazilian diaspora.
  • Advanced stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience building, developing, managing, and leading teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with pulling and presenting insights from data using Excel/Google Suite.
  • SQL, Python, R is a plus.
  • 7 to 15 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment (startups, operations, consulting, finance, or similar).
  • An "own it" mindset, focused on individual user experience and scalable growth tactics.
  • Bachelors or Advanced degree.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English; other languages are a plus.
  • Execution-oriented with an "impact first" philosophy.
  • Customer-centric approach with a passion for building relationships.
  • Mission-oriented, passionate about working with immigrant communities and/or financial inclusion.
  • Flexible with working hours, including nights and weekends for events or meetings.
  • Organized with a system for managing work in a startup environment.
  • Driven and thrives in fast-paced, target-oriented environments.
