About the Role
As Head of Operations, you will report directly to the COO and own day-to-day operations, leading a team of 50+ people across clinical, support, treatment planning, supply chain, fulfilment, and specialist teams. You will play a crucial part in enabling our geographical (US) and product (Sleep) expansion. Your job is to take AI-driven plans and translate them into crisp, well-run execution on the ground, acting as the feedback loop to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own and run day-to-day operations across Orthodontic and Sleep products (UK and US), ensuring high quality, performance, and output against targets.
- Execute the operations roadmap by breaking it down into clear workstreams, sequencing work, driving completion, and reporting progress.
- Manage and develop team leads across functions, setting clear expectations and maintaining a high performance bar.
- Consistently meet SLAs and performance targets, tracking numbers and acting quickly on deviations.
- Identify and unblock operational bottlenecks by addressing root causes through process changes, tooling tweaks, or difficult conversations.
- Design, build, and continuously improve internal tools, workflows, and systems, treating operations as a product.
- Drive adoption and impact of AI and automation across teams, ensuring tools translate into measurable operational changes.
- Run capacity planning, forecasting, and resourcing, partnering with leadership on hiring.
- Lead operational readiness for new markets and products, executing rollout plans and identifying necessary changes.
- Manage day-to-day supplier and partner relationships, owning lead times, quality, and fulfilment reliability.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience, combining top-tier consulting or finance with at least one operations role in a high-growth environment.
- Obsessive about execution and detail, taking pride in work done well, on time, and to a high standard.
- Hard-working and high-output, requiring minimal direction and bringing energy and pace.
- Natural project manager capable of breaking down messy goals into clear plans, executing, and reporting crisply.
- Skilled in managing and developing team leads, holding firm on standards, and conducting difficult conversations.
- Excellent communicator: clear, concise, structured, comfortable writing leadership updates and unpicking workflows.
- Operates well with ambiguity, bringing structure to vague briefs and creating clear plans.
- AI-fluent and excited to drive AI adoption, acting as a power user, advocate, and ensuring tool integration into workflows.
- Commercially minded, understanding the business impact of operational metrics and making appropriate trade-offs.
