About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the low-threshold drug consumption rooms, focusing on work with individuals facing substance-related issues. This role is crucial for providing support and creating a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and provision of cold and warm meals and drinks
- Distribution of food from Berliner Tafel, including coordination with external partners and logistics
- Creating a hospitable atmosphere within the facility
- Adherence to hygiene regulations and quality standards in household management
- Close collaboration with our team of social workers and medical professionals
- Assisting visitors with washing and drying their laundry
- Checking, calculating, and replenishing inventory
Requirements
- Experience in service, ideally in social work
- Basic knowledge in the use of cleaning and hygiene agents
- High social competence, empathy, resilience, and enjoyment of working with people in challenging life situations
- Knowledge of working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds is an advantage
- Flexibility, reliability, teamwork, and willingness for interdisciplinary collaboration
