About the Role
The Compliance Assurance Function monitors and reviews processes and controls to ensure adherence to banking regulations, including oversight of complaints management and communication with the German Banking Regulator BaFin.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent reviews of processes and controls regarding investments (WpHG), anti-money laundering (GWG), and complaints
- Collaborate with internal teams to obtain relevant information regarding processes and controls
- Research internal systems to gather evidence for sample checks
- Apply SQL queries in Snowflake to gather data
Requirements
- Enrolled or completed a university degree in economics, business studies, law, computer science, mathematics, physics, humanities, or other relevant fields
- Highly motivated to learn about regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial industry
- Initial experience in financial services or advisory is an advantage
- Interest in banking, finance, capital markets, and their regulatory frameworks
- Independent working attitude with adherence to deadlines
- Effective communication skills, dedication, and strong organizational abilities
- Proactive with an open-minded attitude and willingness to take on new challenges
