About the Role
Join a nimble, multi-disciplinary team to design and build robust, scalable backend services. You will leverage modern architectural principles to create high-quality APIs, manage data, and integrate with external systems, taking ownership of significant backend components.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs using Python and FastAPI
- Implement Hexagonal Architecture to ensure clear separation of concerns
- Design and implement efficient database schemas using SQLAlchemy
- Manage data structures for the Snowflake data platform
- Lead development of third-party vendor API integrations
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and API tests
- Collaborate with front-end engineers, product managers, and senior engineers
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes using Docker and Azure
Requirements
- 2-5 years of professional backend development experience
- Strong knowledge of third-party API integration, including authentication and data transformation
- Proficiency in data modelling and relational databases like PostgreSQL
- Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake
- Experience with backend testing frameworks and methodologies
- Ability to independently analyze, debug, and solve complex backend challenges
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with Azure and Docker
