About the Role

Provision of an effective maintenance service to all plant/equipment used within the refining and packing areas, with emphasis on improving plant availability & reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out plant isolations.
  • Perform maintenance for all mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems within Process, Packing, Utilities, and Jetty sections.
  • Conduct reactive maintenance based on plant priorities.
  • Progress to agreed maintenance plans.
  • Plan, schedule, and agree daily/weekly workloads with the Area Maintenance Leader, incorporating Preventative, Predictive, and improvement activities.
  • Plan plant insurance inspections and liaise with insurance inspectors.
  • Complete plant improvement projects as time permits.
  • Supervise maintenance activities, optimizing on-site resources and contractors for efficient, high-quality repairs, servicing, and improvement projects.
  • Administer and review SAP maintenance system for budgeting, historical trend & reliability analysis, and to maintain accurate SAP inventories.
  • Undertake detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on component failures, generating and implementing modifications & improvements to address plant reliability and performance issues.
  • Provide cost estimates for improvement projects and generate capital requests.
  • Participate in capital projects throughout implementation to commissioning, including pre-delivery inspections & installation of new plant for the area of responsibility.
  • Meet with suppliers or potential suppliers and conduct audits/visits to suppliers’ premises.
  • Mentor, train, and advise on engineering practices and Maintenance issues at all levels.
  • Ensure plant reliability measured in up time, OEE & lost opportunity.

Requirements

  • Comparable experience of maintenance within an automated continuous process environment, which may include PLC and/or HT systems.
  • Experience of Predictive/Preventative maintenance techniques and regimes.

Work Type

  • Mon- Friday 1 week days, 1 week afternoons, 1 week nights

Education Level

  • Preferably an HNC/NVQ 4 in an engineering discipline, at least BTEC/ONC in relevant discipline.

Salary/Compensations

  • £55,700 + 24.3% shift allowance: £69,235
