About the Role

This role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and the effectiveness of our internal control environment. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the RFM, providing accurate and timely information on the financial performance of the business.
• Assist with day-to-day accounting processes, including GL, AR, AP, Invoicing, Costing, inventory, and revenue recognition, ensuring all accounting transactions are accurately recorded.
• Prepare for month-end closing and reporting, journal entries, provisions, tax prepayments, and monthly declarations per local requirements.
• Assist the Country Manager / RFM with year-end closing, forecasts, and annual budget processes.
• Liaise with external auditors to complete the annual audit and annual tax filing.
• Coordinate with tax authorities on filing of non-trade payments and payment applications.
• Review employee expense claims to ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain monthly payroll, ensuring timely payment of employee salaries and accurate calculation of payroll deductions according to local regulations.
• Perform any other ad hoc work as required.

Requirements

• University degree major in Finance / Accounting
• Good English and communication skills
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Familiar with local government regulations
• Absolute confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Strong sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, dynamism, willingness to help colleagues and work as part of a team; open-minded with a pleasant personality
