About the Role

The Senior Partner Engineer, Databricks Alliance, acts as the primary technical advisor and advocate for the Sigma-Databricks partnership. This role involves providing technical thought leadership and strategic guidance throughout the partnership lifecycle to drive revenue growth and customer success.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical leader and advocate for the Sigma Computing/Databricks strategic alliance.
  • Drive mutual success of joint customers through seamless technical integration, optimal performance, and maximized utilization of Databricks and Sigma.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust technical relationships with key personnel at Databricks.
  • Collaborate with Sigma's GTM teams to identify, qualify, and technically support joint customer opportunities.
  • Develop and champion compelling technical GTM solutions, reference architectures, and partner-facing enablement content.
  • Identify and scope high-value joint product opportunities and facilitate handoff to the Partner Architect team.
  • Act as the internal authority on the Databricks platform, providing expert technical guidance and training to Sigma's Sales Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Own the creation and maintenance of technical resources for the field, including deep-dive enablement sessions.
  • Lead the technical creation of joint thought-leadership content, including webinars, blogs, and presentations.
  • Coordinate with Sigma’s Marketing and Demo Engineering teams to ensure high-quality technical representation at joint GTM activities.
  • Identify, design, and evangelize high-value, industry-specific technical solutions leveraging Sigma and Databricks capabilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a highly technical customer-facing or partner-focused role.
  • Deep and current hands-on experience with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform is mandatory.
  • Proven understanding of Databricks' core architecture, features, and ecosystem integrations.
  • Strong technical background in data analytics, data warehousing, business intelligence, and cloud data platforms.
  • Prior experience working with BI and Analytics platforms is required.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong, mutually beneficial technical relationships with key stakeholders at major partner organizations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
