About the Role

This role leads in-region R2R operations within a global shared services framework, ensuring accurate and timely financial close with support from an offshore delivery team. It provides oversight and governance of audits, statutory and regulatory reporting for multiple legal entities, while driving process efficiency and continuous improvement for global standardization. As a member of the Europe Finance Leadership Team, the position partners with regional and global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes are operating effectively in region.
Validate the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, governance requirements, and reporting.
Perform regular balance sheet reviews to ensure accuracy and proper classification of account balances.
Identify, escalate, and support mitigation of financial risks related to the balance sheet, reporting, journals, and reconciliations.
Ensure global accounting policies across entities are consistently applied and adhered to.
Support Global R2R Finance peers in the preparation of consolidated reporting, providing regional insights and analysis.
Partner with regional finance teams to build mutual understanding of commercial business performance and balance sheet activity.
Lead the RTR BPO Europe team to ensure close activities are timely, complete, and accurate.
Provide training and guidance to offshore teams on evolving policies, controls, and business process changes.
Provide coaching and support to enable continuous improvement, driving global standardization and efficiency.
Ensure control gaps within offshore team processes are mitigated, implemented, and documented corrective actions.
Monitor the performance of the BPO team, including KPI/SLAs and error rates.
Responsible for the preparation, planning, governance processes, and engagement with external providers for the timely and accurate completion, audit, and lodgement of Statutory Accounts for 14 legal entities.
Serve as the primary in-region point of contact for executive and non-executive directors.
Responsible for drafting technical memos consistent with TWE Group practices.
Work closely with Global R2R Leaders to ensure all accounting activities across RTR process are executed effectively and efficiently with appropriate controls.
Support continuous improvement through elimination, standardization, and automation without business disruption.
Represent TBS/R2R on strategic projects in region, including business changes, market changes, regulatory changes, system integrations, and process changes.

Requirements

Minimum 5-7 years’ experience Big 4 audit experience is preferred.
Experience in similar industry (FMCG, Manufacturing, Food & Beverages) ideal.
People Management experience, as well as an ability to work individually.
Strong understanding and proven experience in financial control activities, leading external audit procedures, and delivery of statutory reporting requirements.
Must be confident, self-starter who is willing to engage with staff at all levels.
Strong ability to influence.
Highly collaborative with others across the global Finance teams and other functions.
Very good analytical skills.
High interpersonal & communication skills.
Knowledge of JDE, Blackline & HFM useful.
