About the Role
Our NSW Ecology team is seeking a consultant level Ecologist to deliver a range of ecological assessments on projects primarily throughout NSW. Join a high performing National team that prioritizes quality and culture. This role involves working on specialist ecology and major infrastructure projects, with opportunities to collaborate with interstate teams.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical ecological advice and report deliverables on a range of complex projects
- Field-based data collection, surveys and mapping including BAM threatened species surveys and PCT identification
- Working collaboratively and guiding projects using technical expertise within a multi-disciplinary team
- Proposal preparation and project management
- Using networks to identify opportunities and grow business
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in ecology or other relevant degree
- 3+ years of field and office experience within an environmental consultancy
- Experience with report delivery and project management
- Genuine curiosity and appreciation for the world around you and the work you do
- Enthusiasm to contribute to knowledge sharing within the existing team
- Appetite to learn and develop skills and knowledge, working alongside several BAM Accredited Assessors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client focus and ability to build and maintain credible working relationships
