About the Role
Sock Club is seeking a Production Design Assistant in Austin to support the creative team in delivering high-quality custom socks. This production-focused role involves handling design revisions, preparing production-ready files, and managing a high volume of requests efficiently, prioritizing precision and speed over starting new designs from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Assist with design revisions and asset creation, including logos and templates.
- Prepare artwork for production, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
- Review designs for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with client requirements.
- Organize and maintain digital asset libraries, creating new icons, patterns, and artwork.
- Manage a steady stream of requests from Design, Sales, and Operations, triaging urgency and setting timeline expectations.
- Offer solutions to design challenges and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, particularly Sales, Operations, and Marketing.
- Assist with overflow work, cover tasks during absences, and share ideas to improve processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Products (Photoshop and Illustrator)
- Sharp attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A positive, adaptable attitude
- Print production experience (Bonus)
