About the Role
Bio-Techne enables cutting-edge research in Life Sciences and Clinical Diagnostics by providing tools to further treat and prevent disease worldwide. This role involves planning and executing marketing strategies, creating promotional materials, and supporting customers with technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute marketing strategies and related marketing activities.
- Create catalogs, manuals, and promotional materials for new products by leveraging digital marketing initiatives.
- Partner with the sales team to support customers at their sites.
- Explain the operation and usage of analytical instruments and related software to customers.
- Conduct laboratory-based demonstrations for users.
- Provide on-site operational training during product delivery and installation.
- Respond to technical inquiries related to instruments, software, and applications.
- Translate and create product documentation.
- Conduct internal training programs.
- Collaborate with the U.S. headquarters on technical development initiatives and perform a wide range of application-related activities.
- Exchange technical information with the U.S. headquarters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline (Biology, Agriculture, Science, or Pharmacy required).
- Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
- Experience in a marketing role is preferred.
- Experience as an Application Scientist (FAS) or in a customer-facing technical support role within the life sciences industry.
- Knowledge of cell- and protein-based analytical techniques, such as cell sorting, flow cytometry, electrophoresis, Western blotting, ELISA, multiplex assays, and antibody-based assays.
- Strong interest in cutting-edge spatial analysis instruments and related software, with the ability to proactively take initiative in daily work and make constructive business-related proposals.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency.
- Fluent Business English is required.
- TOEIC score of 750 or higher.
- A valid driver’s license.

Experience Level
- 3+ years of practical experience in general cell biology bench techniques, particularly in mammalian cell culture and protein analysis.
- Experience with cell sorting and flow cytometry.
- Experience with protein analysis instruments such as electrophoresis.
- Marketing role experience preferred.
- Application Scientist (FAS) experience in the life sciences industry preferred.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Agriculture, Science, or Pharmacy.
- Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
