About the Role

This editorial role is designed for someone hungry to build their cadence, refine their craft, and grow alongside the platform over the next 12 to 24 months. Sitting structurally within our Editorial department with dotted lines to Commercial and CEO teams, your primary mandate is to hold, protect, and elevate the editorial standard of every single property listed on OTLM. You will ensure that as we scale and our editorial content evolves through new forms, it retains the uncompromising aesthetic, audience trust, and prestige that defines The Local Project.

Responsibilities

  • Own and enforce the OTLM editorial bar across every single touchpoint, including listing copy, story angles, and social assets, ensuring we maintain our premium positioning.
  • Work closely with The Local Project’s Editor to ensure the OTLM voice integrates seamlessly with the broader The Local Project editorial framework.
  • Review developer and agent campaign briefs for editorial integrity before they transition into production, ensuring our brand standards are never compromised.
  • Partner with our Digital team to own and execute the OTLM publishing schedule, maintaining a highly visible, consistent presence.
  • Ship a high volume of content via Instagram, EDM and other newsletters.
  • Research, structure, and write editorial articles and deep dives on notable properties, architecture trends, and significant design movements.
  • Utilize AI tools as a cadence multiplier to streamline listing summaries, social captions, and EDM drafts, focusing your expertise on the final edit, tone, and polish.
  • Exercise sharp judgment to distinguish between editorial intelligence (stories, coverage) and commercial opportunities (paid partnerships, listings).
  • Act as the vital bridge between Editorial and Partnerships, smoothly handing off organic developer leads to the commercial team, while identifying exceptional paid listings that merit organic cross-promotion.

Requirements

  • A proven editorial background in architecture, premium property, high-end design, or adjacent design-led digital media.
  • A sophisticated written style capable of matching the tone, pace, and authority of The Local Project.
  • The organisational grit to ship a high volume of digital assets consistently across social, web, and email infrastructure without missing deadlines.
  • Experience using AI tools to automate basic copy tasks effectively, treating technology as an efficiency tool rather than a creative crutch.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a generous approach to cross-departmental credit and information sharing.
  • Existing relationships with luxury real estate agents, premium developers, or residential architects.
  • Comfort with light commercial framing, understanding how editorial integrity drives commercial growth in a premium partnerships business.
  • Natural confidence when representing a brand at industry gatherings or panel discussions.
