About the Role

BDO Deal Advisory is a large, full-service corporate finance team focused on the mid-market, offering a broad range of services including due diligence, M&A lead advisory, business sale advice, and financial modelling. The team has received awards for its expertise in IPOs and financial due diligence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the delivery of Transaction Services (TS)-related engagements on a day-to-day basis.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis, including financial due diligence and forecast reviews.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and boards.
  • Interact directly with senior management (C-suite) of clients.
  • Identify negotiation factors for purchase price and deal structuring.
  • Set a career path with clear and honest visibility around progression.
  • Assist with business development and pursuit activities.
  • Cultivate long-term client relationships.
  • Develop and manage divisional strategic tasks.

Requirements

  • Background in auditing/business services/accounting from a professional services firm or boutique advisory firm, or a relevant commercial/industry role.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements.
  • CA and/or CFA qualifications or similar, or in progress.
  • Sound report writing, research, modelling, and financial analytical skills.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Relevant degree with an outstanding academic record from a leading university or business school.
