About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Nurse for a flexible, zero hours position at Hammersmith Animal Hospital. This role is perfect for Registered Veterinary Nurses seeking occasional shifts or regular days to complement other commitments. You will join a supportive team dedicated to providing high-quality care to pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Provide high standards of nursing care to inpatients and surgical cases.
- Assist veterinary surgeons during procedures and consultations.
- Monitor anaesthesia and support recovery.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment.
- Support pet owners with clear, compassionate communication.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
Requirements
- Qualified and Registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Flexible and proactive approach.
- Ability to work in a busy hospital environment.
- Confidence adapting to different rotas and shift patterns.
- Motivated by delivering high standards of animal welfare and client care.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Comfortable integrating into an established team on a flexible basis.
- RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse.
- Proven clinical nursing skills within a veterinary setting.
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners and colleagues.
- A flexible approach to working patterns.
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and animal welfare.
- Experience working in a busy hospital environment.
- Confidence supporting a range of clinical procedures.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new teams and ways of working.
