About the Role
Arcadis is seeking a dynamic Environmental Scientist, Geologist, or Engineer to join our Environment Resiliency team in the United States, offering career growth in environmental consulting. In this role, you will assist Assistant Project Managers and/or Project Managers with environmental investigation, remediation, and permitting projects, oversee junior staff, and coordinate task resources.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate data to support conceptual site models for environmental investigations, delineate contamination, and modify long-term-monitoring programs.
- Develop CERCLA Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Proposed Plans, Records of Decisions, and Remedial Designs or their RCRA/State equivalents.
- Coordinate figure generation, data management, work plans, and supporting documents with interdisciplinary teams.
- Prepare and review technical documents and proposals.
- Address client and regulatory comments on deliverables and drive strategy for comment resolution.
- Perform digital data collection and data visualization.
- Evaluate data using design and modeling software specific to the discipline.
- Prepare cost estimates to support project budgets and evaluate subcontractor proposals.
- Prepare subcontract agreements and coordinate all aspects of subcontractor tasks.
- Travel up to 50% for project sites, client meetings, planning, safety audits, or project implementation oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of science.
- 2 or more years' relevant science experience.
- Substantial progress made toward achieving professional accreditation (e.g., PG, CIH, CHMM) status or equivalent.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant national standards and codes of practice, including applicable state and federal regulations.
