About the Role

The Account Executive is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and prospects, focusing on client retention and new business development. This role involves managing and developing client relationships, growing the portfolio, and converting prospects through market broking.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, apply, and explain BU policies and procedures.
  • Identify and establish relationships with primary budget holders and decision makers within clients.
  • Provide technical, industry, and subject matter expertise.
  • Liaise with clients and build strong relationships.
  • Grow existing portfolio by identifying new opportunities.
  • Lead and deliver end-to-end client service adhering to policies and standards.
  • Support accurate budgeting, forecasting, and revenue tracking.
  • Deliver high levels of client service in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Manage client pricing to ensure agreed target profitability levels.
  • Proactively develop solutions and proposals for clients to ensure optimum retention rates.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, associates, markets, and others to maximize service delivery.
  • Develop service plans defining client engagement and timing.
  • Manage KPIs/SLAs to ensure targets are met.
  • Ensure adherence to Group policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide feedback on corrective actions for client retention and process improvement.
  • Support the sales process and business area practice activity for winning, retaining, and developing profitable clients.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects, including research, contact initiation, meetings, RFP responses, presentations, and CRM database maintenance.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to new business introductions.
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate with colleagues for account penetration and cross-selling.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant Willis Towers Watson products and services.
  • Network internally and externally with specialists.
  • Work closely with key market contacts and Business leads.
  • Ensure transparency of agency and other commitments made to carriers and clients.
  • Manage compliant processing of contracts per FCA and contract certainty requirements.
  • Assist with loading data into relevant Willis Towers Watson Systems.
  • Check policies, market presentations, and client documentation.
  • Assist with and design programme and pricing structures to meet client needs.
  • Optimize revenue from clients through appropriate placement channels and markets.
  • Understand a client or prospect’s business, situations, opportunities, problems, and key issues.
  • Manage relationships and negotiate placement with the insurance market.
  • Prepare client and prospect presentations considering client profitability.
  • Work with the Sales Team to determine solutions and structure/price deals.
  • Identify appropriate markets and determine placing strategy.
  • Create and grow relationships with underwriters in London and international markets.
  • Experience in pricing and designing conceptual programmes.
  • Participate in information gathering exercises.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Willis Towers Watson guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure good relationships and communication with other Willis Towers Watson colleagues.
  • Maintain expert real-time user knowledge for all relevant systems.
  • Support the overall operational governance and decision-making process for BU.
  • Support management and Willis in managing BU risks.
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with the position or level of responsibility.
  • Maintain relevant qualifications required for the role.
