About the Role

Within Mace's consult business, this role harnesses unique expertise in project delivery consultancy to unlock project potential, particularly within major transit and transportation infrastructure programs in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Determines and arranges project technical services and external resources.
  • Delivers project objectives in line with the Project Plan, leading teams and stakeholders to achieve KPIs.
  • Delivers and modifies project plans, keeping them updated.
  • Manages intermediate level tasks and deliverables, or supports senior project managers.
  • Monitors project timeframes and budgets, highlighting risks, challenges, and mitigations.
  • Participates in and records relevant meetings, providing contextual information and analysis.
  • Partners with stakeholders and is involved in risk management and mitigation.
  • Coordinates and communicates with all project parties/stakeholders, ensuring task completion and documentation standards.
  • Ensures all approved handover documentation is coordinated and provided prior to practical completion.
  • Promotes business priorities through Construction to Production, Digital & Data, and Responsible Business practices.
  • Manages design/consultant/contractor/supply chain teams and project stakeholders.
  • Produces or collaborates on design and authorities programmes integrated with procurement and delivery programmes.
  • Constructively challenges the norm to deliver optimum solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management, managing small to medium sized projects.
  • Developed communication, presentation, and project planning and development skills.
  • Developing budgetary oversight expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in communicating, coordinating activities, and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proactively manage internal budgets and fees.
  • Proven competency understanding construction methodologies and sequencing.
  • Manages relevant stakeholders for project(s).
  • Develops effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Uses advanced communication skills to collaborate and guide others to achieve project KPIs.
  • Previous experience in a project management (or equivalent) role.
  • Developing experience in the construction delivery phase of projects.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, a non-related degree, or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with demonstrable intermediate role knowledge.
