About the Role

Within Mace's consult business, this role harnesses unique expertise in project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential in every project, specifically supporting major transit and transportation infrastructure programs in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Manages intermediate level tasks and associated deliverables, supporting timely and accurate delivery of project and program management operations.
• Provides subject matter expertise to support teams across broad business projects and units.
• Manages design and wider consultant teams and project stakeholders to ensure effective completion of responsibilities, including project brief/scope, fees, processing claims, and variations.
• Produces design and authorities programs to be integrated with procurement and delivery programs.
• Delivers project objectives, leading project teams and stakeholders to achieve strategic project KPIs.
• Prepares and modifies project plans and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversees project timeframes, ensuring program delivery success, highlighting risks, challenges, and mitigations, and managing project budgets.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure robust quality systems are in place and managed.
• Leads and records relevant meetings, providing stakeholders with contextual information and analysis.
• Partners with stakeholders to actively manage risk management and mitigation treatments.
• Ensures all approved handover documentation is coordinated and provided prior to practical completion.
• Promotes and drives business priorities through Construction to Production, Digital & Data, and responsible business practices.
• Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, sharing responsibility for identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management, delivering small, medium, and large-scale projects.
• Strong communication, presentation, and project planning capabilities.
• Developed expertise in budget management and financial oversight.
• Advanced proficiency in stakeholder communication, coordination, and collaboration.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a clear client/customer focus.
• Proactive management of internal budgets and fees to achieve agreed outcomes.
• Demonstrated understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Good knowledge and experience within a specific sector or project market.
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications aligned to the project portfolio.
• Experience managing or supporting teams, providing guidance and coordination.
• Acts as a central point of contact for project stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Substantial experience in project management or a related role.
• Professional membership such as MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS (or working towards), or local equivalent.
• Holds an appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
