About the Role
Oak Hill Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join their team in Austin, TX. This individual will be the sole Dental Assistant in the practice, working collaboratively with clinical, business, and operations professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Dentists chairside
- Welcome patients
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring comfort
- Select and set up instrumentation, equipment, and other dental materials as needed
- Perform instrument sterilization according to regulations
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Perform lab tasks as instructed
- Provide post-operative care instructions
- Maintain clean and stocked operatories
Requirements
- Active Texas dental assistant license
- Dental Assistant training/school certification
- 2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Experience with digital software
- Excellent interpersonal skills
