About the Role

The Institutional Consultant Relations Team is seeking a Director, Consultant Relations to partner with Managing Directors in executing the strategic plan with investment consultants. This role focuses on engaging with research teams of significant consultant relationships to achieve buy ratings, OCIO platform allocations, and new institutional mandates. The team establishes partnerships by delivering Invesco’s investment capabilities and serves as the "Voice of Consultants" within Invesco. This position will also collaborate with the Taft Hartley Sales team for business development and client service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a high-performance culture example internally and externally to ensure a strong pace of execution for consultants.
  • Align consultant research priorities with Invesco’s capabilities to elevate brand awareness and deepen consultant relationships.
  • Partner with Managing Directors, Consultant Relations to maintain and build relationships with large investment consultants, and lead efforts for additional firms.
  • Collaborate with MDs to set research agendas for prioritized strategies and lead research engagement for new or upgraded investment strategies.
  • Partner with the Taft Hartley team to maintain and build relationships nationwide.
  • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with consultant research teams at all levels.
  • Collaborate with investment teams to ensure alignment on ratings, pipeline, RFPs, assets-at-risk, search activity, and industry trends.
  • Maintain key intelligence on consulting firms' research priorities by engaging directly with research staff and reviewing relevant industry information.
  • Represent the voice of Consultants at Invesco from a consultant research perspective.
  • Ensure consultant insights are shared with key internal stakeholders to enhance knowledge and value delivery.
  • Coordinate with the Sales team to achieve organic AUM and revenue growth targets with institutional investors.

Requirements

  • A strong network of relationships with top consultant firms is preferred.
  • A strong network of relationships with Taft Hartley plan sponsors is preferred.
  • Exceptional investment acumen, with strong expertise in manager due diligence, portfolio analytics, portfolio construction, and capital markets.
  • Expert sales discipline, with a proven history of a consultative, client-centric sales process.
  • Strong working knowledge across a full range of investment capabilities and various investment vehicles.
  • 10+ years of experience with institutional consultants and/or clients.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Series 7 and 63 required.

Salary/Compensations

  • $200,000 to $225,000/ year
