About the Role

Unique Vacations, Inc. is seeking a forward-thinking Business Development Manager to join its Upstate NY team. This role involves servicing, educating, and building relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and tourist boards to increase client bookings for Sandals and Beaches Resorts.

Responsibilities

• Impact client bookings for Sandals and Beaches Resorts by servicing, educating, and building relationships within assigned territory at the Travel Agent, Tour Operator, and Tourist Board levels.
• Grow new business by assisting travel agencies in developing marketing plans and achieving booking goals using available Certified & Preferred Sandals Agency Program tools.
• Maintain an outgoing, positive, and professional attitude, demonstrating strong communication and time management skills.
• Work evenings and weekends as required.
• Travel extensively and make a significant commitment to the role.
• Navigate the internet, communicate via email, operate a laptop, conduct PowerPoint presentations, manipulate Excel spreadsheets, and prepare documents using a word processor.
• Speak in public and prepare presentations for travel agencies.
• Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers through excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and maintaining a professional demeanor under stressful situations.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate within a team setting, multi-task, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Travel domestically and internationally, maintaining proper and up-to-date documentation.
• Effectively communicate with management, senior management, product management, support, and development teams.
• Be willing to have image captured for Sales & Marketing purposes.
• Manage administrative tasks while traveling overnight.
• Lift boxes of collateral (up to 50lbs) and set up booth displays.

Requirements

• Must have a valid passport.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Must have a personal credit card for business expenses (reimbursed within 2 weeks).
• Requires extensive travel and a major commitment.
