Responsibilities
- Contribute to accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close by meeting deadlines.
- Prepare detailed journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to the general ledger accounts.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted global policies, procedures, US GAAP, and local GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with process control narratives to meet Sarbanes-Oxley Internal Controls objectives and maintain appropriate process documentation.
- Alert management to discrepancies between written processes and current procedures.
- Investigate root causes of fundamental issues/problems and recommend solutions.
- Gather information for investigation of complex issues and share with management for resolution.
- Foster positive relationships with international accounting personnel and other departments.
- Participate in cross-functional teams as needed.
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure and assist in maintaining financial systems.
- Prepare audit deliverables and inquiries.
- Participate in ensuring statutory requirements are met.
- Issue invoices to clients, manage billing, and cash collection.
- Prepare data for creating PT invoices to clients.
- Manage AR/Unbilled/Deferred Revenue/Revenue.
- Manage client interactions and handle queries and escalations.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Minimum of 4/5 years of experience working in an internationally oriented organization.
- Experience working with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously, organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective documentation and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
- Ability to resolve issues diplomatically.
- Strong work ethics, professional attitude, and reliability.
- Strong problem-solving, research, resolution, and data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.
Skills
- Japanese Level: Native
- English Level: Business
- Oracle Financial experience is preferred.
Experience Level
- 4/5 years of experience
Education Level
- BS/BA degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant or qualified membership of a professional accountancy body equivalent a plus
